Guild’s iconic arched back is featured on the Westerly D-240E dreadnought acoustic-electric. With a gorgeous flamed mahogany back and sides and a solid spruce top, this classic dreadnought kicks out thick tone and dynamic response. These are trademarks of Guild craftsmanship. A beautiful Indian rosewood fingerboard and bridge provide further enhanced tonal support, as do a genuine bone nut and saddle. Other fine appointments include a pearloid rosette, tortoiseshell pickguard, and a satin polyurethane finish that protects the quality tonewoods of the Westerly D-240E and allows them to age naturally. Guild’s AP-1 preamp system is also onboard for great amplified tone when plugged in.

Description
Guild’s heritage as one of America’s premier early guitar makers is evident in the D-240E. A traditional dreadnought body with an arched back and clean playability create a big sound and great playing experience. The D-240E is made of Solid Sitka spruce and mahogany for a classic look and vibe, with a real bone nut and saddle for great sustain and clarity. A 1960s red tortoiseshell pickguard completes the look. Seasoned players will notice the D-240E’s slinky string action all along the 25.5″-scale-length C-shaped neck. The nut width spaces out strings suitably for strumming, flatpicking, or fingerstyling, with a good amount of real estate that neither feels cramped nor causes you to reach uncomfortably.
