An ideal benchtop milling machine for the home hobbyist. The G8689Z 4 in. x 16 in. Mini Milling Machine can power through up to 1/2 in. drilling, 1/2 in. end mills, and 1 in. facing for the consistent results you need. This benchtop mill features the highly stable R8 spindle that offers versatility, quick and easy tool changes, and exceptional accuracy. The variable-speed control and gear drive save you time and hassle as you switch between projects. The G8689Z has two speed ranges: low range 0-1100 RPM, and high range 0-2500 RPM. Modify the spindle height with the rapid downfeed, or use the micro downfeed to adjust down to 0.001 in. (one full revolution is 0.060 in.) The headstock adjusts up and down the column and tilts 45° left or right relative to the table, and adaptable dovetail ways offer precision and rigidity. You can set the limit block to restrict the amount of head travel for repeated drilling of the same depth. This mini milling machine also includes a clear chip guard on the spindle and a rubber chip guard on the ways for safety. Like all Grizzly mills, the G8689Z comes with a 1-year limited warranty.
