Tekton sockets have large, stamped markings that are permanently impressed into the material by a roll-stamp die and are as large as possible while still being readable along the socket’s curved surface. The exterior of the socket is chrome-plated to resist corrosion and wipe clean to a mirror finish. The interior is protected against corrosion with chrome plating that is supplemented with a clear coat or painted finish where needed for full coverage. The 6-point socket opening provides more access positions for multiple types of fasteners, including hex, double hex, and square. Radiused corners prevent fastener round-off by applying force to a fastener’s flat sides, rather than its corners.
