Description
The Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HH FR M is a guitar that was inspired by the Superstrat craze of the 1980s. It has a blazing-fast maple neck with graphite reinforcement rods to resist bowing over time. At the nut, the fretboard is a rounded 12 inches. As you move up the neck, the maple fingerboard flattens out to a radius of 16 inches. This compound radius construction makes it easy for you to fret chords one minute, and rip solos in the upper register the next.
For most players, tone is everything‚Äîespecially when you’re buying a stock Superstrat. That’s why Charvel loaded this axe with a pair of Seymour Duncan TB-6 and SH-6N Distortion pickups. For extra tonal variation, both humbuckers are equipped with coil-splitting abilities to give you a total of 6 humbucker/single-coil tones from brutal crunch to shrieking leads.
The Charvel Pro-Mod So-Cal Style 1 HH FR M is equipped with knurled speed knobs that resist sweat slippage. This guitar also makes it easy to unlock even more creative potential. It’s equipped with a dependable Floyd Rose 1000 series locking tremolo bridge. It can be used for subtle vibrato to full-blown dive bombs with the same response and tuning stability that you’d expect from a Floyd Rose. Whether you use it or abuse it, you’ll have trouble knocking the Floyd Rose tremolo bridge out of tune.
