Safety features of the model Scout include Plexiglas windows and factory sanded wood surfaces. The floor, wall and roof material is 5/8 in. thick chemical-free solid Tongue and Groove wood. Not OSB or particle board which warps and breaks if exposed to weather. Concerned about the assembly. No worries. Even if you are not the handiest person in the household, you will get the hang of it after spending approximately 4-hours to 5-hours to assemble this playhouse.
