The inner ball operates as a two-axis head nestled inside the outer ball, which provides leveling and panning. The weight of your camera is balanced by the only spring balanced ball head design in the world. The patented spring balance design is incorporated in both balls for a gimbal-like range of movement without the risk of lens flop.
