A Guide to Birding with Spotting Scopes

With its relatively short length, powerful zoom range, and oversized objective, the Hawke Sport Optics Nature-Trek 20-60×80 Spotting Scope will become your constant companion in the field, on the trail, or at the range. Utilizing BAK4 glass in their Porro prism and anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, images are bright, with accurate color representation in high contrast and with minimal distortion, especially in low-light conditions such as at dawn, dusk, or under heavy canopies. Its powerful 20-60x magnification range makes this an ideal spotter for long-range glassing needs.

Hawke designed the Nature-Trek with its eyepiece set at 45° to the body to place your head in a more natural and comfortable position whether you are standing, sitting, or lying prone. For optimum eyepiece positioning, the mounting collar can rotate to change the orientation of the eyepiece relative to your support system. The aluminum alloy chassis is wrapped in protective rubber armoring, and is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed for a water and fogproof performance. A retractable sunshade reduces glare to improve visibility, while a stay-on case adds another layer of protection, ensuring you’re ready to move quickly and quietly without fumbling for the case.
