Pioneer TS-1200M Subwoofer The TS-1200M 12″ Component Subwoofer feature has a cone consisting of IMPP composite which is extremely rigid yet lightweight to prevent failure at high sound pressure. This subwoofer also has a heavy motor assembly giving high power capability to make a punchy and loud bass sound. The Aramid fiber reinforced spider and rubber surround provides amazing stability and linearity at any volume.A-SERIES SUBWOOFER Upgrade to high performance with the Pioneer A-series sound design which acoustically matches the subwoofer and full-range loudspeakers to provide seamless and smooth sound characteristics with dynamic, high impact bass that lets you hear and feel the music.VOICE COIL and MAGNET A subwoofer motor structure consists of the voice coil and magnet assembly. Increasing the diameter and length of the voice coil provides greater control of the woofer cone and higher power handling. To take full advantage, however, the magnet must also be increased, both in magnetic power and physical size.IMPP CONE WITH ARAMID FIBERS This A-series speaker cone has a blend of Aramid fibers interlaced with Polypropylene during the injection molding process to meet Pioneer’s standards for sensitivity, low distortion, rigidity, and strength.
