The Roland F701 Digital Piano is loaded with 324 superb sounds, including acoustic pianos, electric pianos, strings, organs, guitars, brass, synthesizers, and more. There are also onboard effects. Practice and performance features include Twin Piano, which effectively lets you split the keyboard into two parts, each with identical note range and its own sustain pedal (in this mode, the left and right pedals each have the damper function). Twin Piano is ideal for lessons and duets, but that’s not the F701’s only skill-building feature. The built-in metronome and SMF (standard MIDI file) recorder let you practice with a perfect time reference and also record and listen back to your performances – critical for polishing your chops. The F701 also integrates with your tablet or smartphone via Bluetooth, letting you turn music pages from your device.
