The W1668 can be used for efficient contour sanding in addition to traditional drilling, saving you the cost of buying a separate sander. As one grizzly.com customer review mentions, “this Benchtop Oscillating Drill Press is a good compromise for a small shop without room for two separate devices.” The W1668 is fitted with a 1 to 16mm JT33 keyed drill chuck, offers up to 3-1/8″ of travel, and a drilling capacity of 5/8″ through mild steel. With the oscillating feature, the oscillating stroke length is 3/4″. The 12-3/8″ diameter, round table allows for drilling and surface sanding at different angles as it tilts 90° in both directions. The table has a clearance hole for use while sanding. This clever design incorporates a 2″ dust collection port so that sanding is less messy.
