Description
Summer Binocular Buying Guide
Snypex improved on the design of their top-tier line to produce these 10×42 Knight D-ED Binoculars. They upgraded their eyepiece lens configuration to 7-elements in six groups, and the objective to 5-elements in four groups to improve the optical quality and overall image brightness. Complementing this improvement is the use of fully multi-coated extra low-dispersion glass, and dielectric-coated phase-correcting BAK4 prisms. These technologies work together to produce bright and clear images with accurate color rendition across the entire field of view without distortion. This iteration is made with a powerful 10x magnification and a short 5.6′ close focus distance that allows users to make detailed observations of either distant objects or close subjects, depending on their interests.
The Knight’s open-bridge design helps to reduce weight without sacrificing strength, and provides a large surface area to hold, even with the compact housing. Rubber armoring gives protection from drops and impacts while helping to provide a non-slip grip. Designed for durability, the lightweight magnesium alloy housing is nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed for fogproof performance and makes them submersible. Twist-up eyecups provide a custom-fit eye relief for use with or without eye-wear.
